Concert Photography: Divided Heaven
My friend, Nic and his band, Divided Heaven, recently played at the Redwood Bar and Grill in downtown LA. I came to support and take pictures of the show. Taking band performance pictures in such low light is incredibly difficult. I have a ton to learn about it. But I still enjoyed the process and discovered one of the reasons why band photos tend to be in black and white more often than not. (Have you ever noticed that?). I think it has a lot to do with the insane stage lighting that just looks awful in color. Harsh reds, yellows and oranges. It is distracting. So here's my very retro looking shots from the show! Plus some doodles inspired by the punk rock scene and their album the white rose.
